Really Simple Syndication (RSS)

RSS News Feeds have been added as an option to the 'News' element. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

RSS feeds can be added as links within a web page or they can be hidden and used just with the browser RSS detection. When visiting a page with a RSS feed included an icon should appear within the user's browser which allows them to add the feed as a live bookmark within their normal browser bookmarks. Please note that some browsers do not yet support RSS news feeds but this will have no impact on your web site.

The software takes your list of pages which are designated as 'news items' and creates an RSS feed which can be picked up by users across the web and which has links back to the individual news pages. This is very helpful in bringing targetted traffic to your website, updating customers on new products or services and is yet another way to deliver content to potential customers.

As with all of our software updates, this facility is free to portal members.
