Business Card and other StationeryMake sure your website address (URL) is everywhere, on your business cards, compliment slips, letterheads, paper and plastic bags, your T shirts, staff uniforms (overalls etc), your undies (a bit extreme but someone may see them at the gym or the pool and it's all advertising!) etc. Add it into adverts, directories in fact anything printed that you can.
Think laterally and take the opportunity to tell people about your site in any way that you can. Tell People About your WebsiteTell your friends, family, customers and anyone else who will listen, all about your website. Ask for their opinion (we all feel important when asked for our opinion or feedback on a project which is important to someone else).
Take any feedback on board, and in the spirit it's given - don't be dismayed if they criticise something - they are doing it for your benefit. Remember however, that there is always the chance that they have no idea what they're talking about so do use common sense before implementing everything they suggest. Sometimes what may look fantastic, such as a Flash animated intro page, can actually harm the visibility of your site and make it unreadable by search engines. Email your Customers/ClientsA quick email to clients or customers to say
"we've just launched our new website and would really appreciate your feedback. Please visit the site at http://www.yourwebsiteadress.net, there is a feedback form and I would really value your opinion.
Many thanks....." |
