These Long & Crawford T4GF3 switchgear covers are specifically designed to offer protection against vandalism and unauthorised operation. They provide protection of the gear from the elements and allow the replacement of HV fuses and testing under cover without the need to sheet up.
The lid is spring-assisted, requiring minimum effort to raise, it also has a safety ratchet and concealed locking arrangement. Built entirely of abraided finish stainless steel, the unit requires no maintenance.
Installation requires no modification to the gear and can be achieved in 15 minutes using the specially designed braked lifting jib. A fitting service is offered and can be quoted for on an individual basis.
