Since the addition of Electronic Services in 2006, local industry has kept the department busy and has provided a focus for the wide range of electronic services initially offered. We have found a demand for cut-to-length controls and machine automation and have successfully implemented our control panels across several local industries. As a result, the emphasis of our electronic services has shifted from repairs to automation and control.

Owing to the wide range of industrial experience gained by our Technical Manager, we can confidently offer designs that include the use of embedded controllers, PLCs, Windows based PC control and dedicated hardware systems. Custom PCB design is included within the scope of our services, offering unique solutions within tight budgets. In addition, all AES designs are fully documented and all application-specific software is provided to our customers protecting them from future downtime.

With our own fully-equipped mechanical workshop, we can confidently develop and manufacture 'one-off' components in house, significantly improving development time and cost. Such components would include measuring wheels, awkward encoder mounting, load-cell integration, motor adaption equipment, brackets and other specialist retrofit items.
