Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat makes Lakeland Herbs tinctures and oils different from other makes? The difference is in the way we make it. How do I take the tincture?Place the number of drops required in a glass or cup and add a little water, you can take it directly onto the tongue but it's more difficult to count the drops! If I'm avoiding alcohol can I still take tinctures?Yes, just add hot water to the tincture, this allows the alcohol to evaporate leaving just the herb's goodness in the water. Are the tinctures safe for children to use?Yes – use proportionally less eg: a 30kg (5 stone) child would want half the adult dose. Why are tinctures better than tablets?Because the tincture contains the lifeforce of the plant which is mostly lost when the herb is dried, as in tablet form. What is biodynamic agriculture?"Biodynamic agriculture is the oldest consciously organic approach to farming and gardening and is one of the most sustainable in existence."
