Cumbria Business Awards

In view of the recent announcement that CN Group are launching the CN Business Awards it is with regret that we feel obliged to cancel the Cumbria Business Awards 2008.
 
Our firm belief is that there is only need for one set of Regional Business Awards and to continue would merely cause confusion.
 
We are advised that the CN Group have pledged £50,000 into their awards campaign which, combined with the level of press coverage that they can facilitate, means we would not be able to compete.
 
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the businesses that participated in the Cumbria Business Awards 2007, and also to those who had pledged to support this year's event. We would also like to thank all of the staff that have worked so hard on the event.
