02/01/08 - FOREIGN OFFICE AMENDS TRAVEL ADVICE FOR KENYA (01/01/08)

This advice has been reviewed and reissued with amendments to the Summary and LOCAL TRAVEL section (continuing serious unrest). We now advise against all but essential travel to Kisumu, Kakamega, Kericho, Eldoret and Kisauni district in Mombasa. We also advise against all but essential travel to the city centre, Uhuru Park, Kibera, Mathare and the Eastleigh areas of Nairobi.


10/11/07 - Pakistan to include Chitral, in the North Western Frontier Province,

The Foreign Office has changed its travel advice for Pakistan to include Chitral, in the North Western Frontier Province, as an area we advise against travel to due to increased security concerns.

14/09/07 - Lebanon: Foreign Office Amends Travel Advice

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office revised its travel advice for Lebanon on Thursday 13 September. Following the end of hostilities at Nahr El Bared Refugee Camp we are no longer advising against all travel to Tripoli. However we continue to advise against all travel to all Palestinian refugee camps in the country and all but essential travel to Lebanon, north of the Litani river.


22/08/07 - TRAVEL ADVICE: BELIZE

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office today revised its travel advice for Belize.
 
We have withdrawn our advice against all but essential travel to the coastal area of Belize. Hurricane Dean made landfall on the Yucatan peninsula, just north of Belize, on Thursday 21 August. Visitors should be aware that it caused extensive damage to infrastructure in the northern regions of Corozal and Orange Walk.

22/08/07 - Travel to Mexico - Advice

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has revised its travel advice for Mexico as Hurricane Dean crosses the Mexican Gulf. It is due to make landfall in Central/North Eastern Mexico on Wednesday 22 August.
 
We advise against all but essential travel to the State of Veracruz. All British nationals on the Gulf Coast, or in Central, Eastern and Northern parts of Mexico should monitor local and international weather updates and follow the advice of the local authorities.



12/02/08 - COMOROS: FOREIGN OFFICE AMENDS TRAVEL ADVICE

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office revised its travel advice for Comoros on Tuesday 12 February. We now advise against all travel to the island of Anjouan and all but essential travel to the rest of Comoros.


14/09/07 - THE FCO Amends Travel Advice - NICARAGUA, HONDURAS AND GUATEMALA

The Foreign Office has amended the level of its Travel Advice for Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala on Wednesday 5 September.


21/08/07 - Travel to Jamaica

Hurricane Dean passed 40 miles south of Jamaica on the 19 August. The Foreign Office has now withdrawn its advice against all travel to Jamaica. However, there has been extensive damage to infrastructure and power in Kingston, resulting in a state of emergency being declared. We therefore advise against all but essential travel to Kingston.


21/08/07-Travel warnings for Cayman Islands

Hurricane Dean passed the Southern Cayman Islands on 20 August. Damage to infrastructure has been minimal.
 
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has now withdrawn its advice against all travel to The Cayman Islands. Click the link above to read more from the FCO.
