Want your own customised web site design?

Don't worry. At Cumbria Business Portal we can create custom-built templates to use with our system. We take care of everything from design, to build and implementation on your web site. We can also advise you on how to get the best results from your new design and create a few template pages which allow you to build your site even faster.

What about design changes in the future?

If you want to change the design in 1 or 2 years time, we can easily edit the template or create a new one. When uploaded, the new template automatically replaces the old one and in a matter of seconds all your pages change accordingly instead of having to re-design every page. More importantly there is no down time of your web site.

Do you build to web standards?

All our standard and customised templates are built to W3C HTML or XHTML standards and can incorporate WAI-AAA accessibility compliance if your organisation wishes to attain this level of accessibility. All our website builds conform to the requierments of the Disability Discrimination Act, Sale of Goods / Distance Selling Regulations, and Data Protection.

How much do you charge for customised templates?

Custom templates start from £200 + VAT for basic header templates up to £500 + VAT for sites who wish to incorporate WAI-AAA accessibility standards.

I already have a design. Can I use this with Cumbria Business Portal's Site Editor?

In most cases existing designs can be converted to be used in Site Editor. If you are interested in using an existing design with Site Editor, please contact us and we will supply you with a quote to convert the site. If your existing website does not meet current legislation as described above we will include in our quote all work necessary to make it comply.

What happens if you upgrade the system?

We are upgrading the system continuously and usually any enhancement is normally passed on to existing clients at no extra cost. There are excetional cases which would involve us in additional support - when this happens we make a small charge for that facility. That said, the vast majority of enhancements to the system are automatically available to clients.

I want an effective and sales orientated website but I am worried about the costs

Firstly, we will discuss your requirements with you and then give you a fixed price for the work involved. Should you require finance to spread the cost over a period of time so as not to have an adverse impact on your cash flow this can be arranged subject to status.

From time to time there aer grants which may be available to help with the cost of building or upgrading a website, we usually know about them in our area and can point you in the right direction for any which could be on offer. However, we have no control over how and to whom those grants may be awarded.
